Bye bye Holland

Norway Hello

I don’t like flying all that much anymore. To fly was a small adventure when I was little, while now it’s just a lot of stress. Getting there is the best part about flight journeys; especially because I’m always slightly worried something will go wrong on the way. Luckily, I always manage to sleep on the plane, and this time was no exception – except that I kept waking up with spasms, wildly confused, sure that I was still on the train to the airport and had forgotten to go off. That was kind of horrible. People started sending me weird looks, but what can you expect on a plane from Amsterdam?

Seen at Science Center NEMO in Amsterdam
Seen at Science Center NEMO

I finally found the opportunity to visit NEMO Science center. There’s a reason science museums are popular, they are always a lot of fun, with many technological things to touch and play with.

I only had one hour to race through all five floors of NEMO, the time just went too fast, and there’s one thing I know forgot to check out. On my way in I spotted a little boy crouched over some sort of hole in the floor by the entrance. I decided to try his point of view on my way out, but forgot all about until I found a picture of the moment on my camera. I wonder what he saw. . .

My friend did some Christmas shopping in Amsterdam

All bloggers writing about Christmas made me realize that we’re in December all of the sudden. The streets have ben illuminated for weeks already, but now Christmas is actually coming to town.

I love Christmas; the decorations, the songs and the presents make me very happy, but I haven’t really gotten around to buy gifts myself yet, and that makes me very stressed.

Is it even possible to find the perfect present for everyone you care about in three weeks?

Not online

Well, this was a weird weekend. People were drunk and went missing and got arrested, and through it all – nobody had Internet. When I was little and read science fiction books, robots and aliens seemed to be the thing to fear, but sudden loss Internet might actually be worse.
Especially if you suddenly find out you don’t even know how to call the police. You live and learn, and I’ll learn a lot this week, according to the posters by the front door and in the elevator…

Lazy day

Lazy day

I’ve done almost nothing today, I barely managed to leave the house to buy products I need to survive the weekend, and I should feel absolutely wonderful. A legitimate lazy day is a rarity. But I should have read a book. Or played a game. Or cleaned my room. Instead I’ve ben surfing. I use Internet so much during weekdays that I should totally try to avoid it when I’m free. Stupid me. I feel like a zombie. A zombie that can take self-portraits though . . .
